The topic of housing is associated with challenges in old age. How do you avoid loneliness when you no longer have any colleagues and the children have long since moved out? What do you do if your health fails you at some point or your finances are no longer sufficient for your current home? Karin St\u00fctz and Gereon Niekamp, both soon to retire, visit housing projects that are especially suitable for older people.<\/p>\n
Gereon owns his own home, Karin lives in rented accommodation. Both know that they will have to adapt their living situation in retirement. To gather ideas, the two set off on a journey through the southwest of the country. They visit a multigenerational house where young and old live in community. They take a look at a farm for senior citizens, where the residents are actively involved. They learn about real estate pensions, find a senior student shared apartment and much more. It is important for them to look for answers early on to the question: Where do we want to live in old age?<\/p>\n

Was tun, wenn die Gesundheit irgendwann nicht mehr mitspielt oder die finanziellen Mittel nicht mehr f\u00fcr die bisherige Wohnung ausreichen? Karin St\u00fctz und Gereon Niekamp, beide bald im Ruhestand, besuchen Wohnprojekte, die sich speziell f\u00fcr \u00c4ltere eignen.<\/p>
Gereon besitzt ein eigenes Haus, Karin lebt zur Miete. Beide wissen, dass sie ihre Wohnsituation im Ruhestand anpassen m\u00fcssen. Um Ideen zu sammeln, begeben sich die beiden auf eine Reise durch den S\u00fcdwesten des Landes. Sie besuchen ein Mehrgenerationenhaus, wo Jung und Alt in Gemeinschaft leben. Sie schauen sich einen Senioren-Bauernhof an, auf dem sich die Bewohner:innen aktiv mit einbringen. Sie lernen die Immobilienrente kennen, finden eine Senioren-Studenten-WG und vieles mehr. Ihnen ist wichtig, sich fr\u00fch nach Antworten umzusehen auf die Frage: Wo wollen wir im Alter leben?<\/p>
