The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation guards a treasure that is unique worldwide. The 19 museums, archives and libraries encompass a collection that spurs the mind to travel across the globe through the entire history of mankind. More than 5 million objects from everyday life as well as archaeological artefacts and art masterpieces form one of the five greatest universal collections anywhere in the world.

Beyond their beauty, these objects provide answers to the important questions that have occupied humans since prehistory.

‘Berlin’s Treasure Trove’ is more than a documentary about Berlin’s museums – it is an exciting and entertaining journey through the cultural history of mankind.

The Berlin Philharmonic’s legendary Berlin Wall Concert under the baton of Daniel Barenboim in November 1989. To get in, East German citizens just had to show their identity cards. 38 dead on the beach in Sousse, Tunisia. A terror attack aboard a Russian holiday flight in Egypt, many victims of the attacks in Istanbul: terrorists are targeting tourists.

It is all part of a treacherous strategy with multiple goals – the death of citizens of the detested States of the West, who governments they have declared their enemy. The weakening of the economies of the holiday destinations Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey against whose governments they are fighting, and whose populations are more easily radicalised in times of instability.

In Turkey every 12th job is directly or indirectly linked to tourism, in Tunisia it is every 7th, in Egypt every 8th.
