Sounding Images produces high-quality music documentaries, portraits and records music events. sounding image’ productions are renowned for their insightful translation of sound to visuals as well as their compelling and empathetic approach to story-telling. Productions include “Kinshasa Symphony”, “Out of this World” and “The Art of Bel Canto”, films which have won many international awards. The Heidefilm GmbH, based in the Lüneburger Heide, was founded in 2009 with the aim of allowing the filmmaking skills developed in the genres of science, natural history and nature to flourish under a separate roof. Heidefilm strives to make programmes with local emphasis which appeal to the international market. Some examples are the science documentary “Roots – The Marvel under the Earth”, the international co-production “Planet Sheep” or the history documentary “1648 – The Long Road to Peace”.
Heidefilm works closely together with local organisations united in the effort to create high quality programmes destined for an international audience.
